This week we started learning modular synthesis in class which has been my favourite type of synthesis i’ve ever experimented with. Sound design is something I spend extensive amounts of time learning, and modular synths have always been something i’ve been fascinated so this was very exciting for me.
We got into the studio as a group, and got to grips about learning how to use modular, alongside the Drumbrute and a Korg synth. We managed to get some really nice drum pattern and amazing sound synth sequences happening. Knowing that we would be using these, I watched some videos the night before so when I came in for the lesson I was fully prepared to get a track going.
Check out some tutorials I watched below and some videos of what we got up to in the session.
